5 VEGAN RECIPES PERFECT FOR MEATLESS MONDAY
For those of you who are not vegan or vegetarian, the benefits of giving our digestive system a break from animal protein are huge. A healthy diet should be predominantly plant-based with the optional addition of animal proteins. Protein, itself, is essential, however, the type of protein you choose – whether animal or plant-based is purely an individual choice.
Myself, personally, I like eating meat, however I don’t eat a lot of it – particularly red meat. When I do I tend to have lean mince rather than a fat juicy steak. So, there is nothing wrong with whichever way you choose, however, eating too much animal protein can be difficult on our digestive system, especially when it is the main focus of our meal.
To assist with giving yourself a break, I’d love for you to join me in #MeatlessMonday. This is not something I made up, but has been around for a long time and I think it’s catchy so I’m using it! This means every Monday, we go animal/fish meat free. For some of you, this may seem really daunting and for others, it’s a walk in the park. In either case, I want to provide you with 5 delicious and healthy vegan recipes to get you started.
